In 2025, Sgt. Pepe became part of the Bali Art Residency as one of the supporting patrons behind YOU MAY KNOW THEM, a month-long residency and collaborative exhibition created in partnership with SuperRare.
More than an exhibition, the residency became a living experiment in community, collaboration, and creative freedom across digital and physical art worlds.
Art does not grow in isolation. It grows through conversations, shared spaces, experimentation, and the willingness to support creators before the world fully understands their vision.
For an entire month, artists from different disciplines lived and created together deep within the Balinese jungle. Painters, digital creators, photographers, AI artists, and experimental thinkers shared the same environment, exchanging ideas daily while pushing beyond the limits of their individual mediums.
The result was more than a showcase. It became an ecosystem of collaboration.
The residency combined workshops, cultural immersion, collaborative experimentation, exhibitions, and documentation into a single evolving experience. Artists explored Bali together, participated in educational sessions, connected with local traditions, and developed new bodies of work shaped by the environment and the people around them.
At the end of the residency, these experiences culminated in YOU MAY KNOW THEM, both a physical exhibition hosted at SUN.CONTEMPORARY in Bali and a curated online release.
Our support, alongside other patrons, helped fund new artwork production, the final exhibition, documentary creation, workshops and educational sessions, cultural immersion activities, and artist living experiences throughout the residency.
This is the kind of culture Sgt. Pepe believes in supporting. Not just finished products, but the environments that allow artists to evolve, connect, and take creative risks.
Freedom to Create. Freedom to Collaborate. LFG.
